Eric Clapton-E.C. Was Here (RSO aka Recycle Something Old Records 1975)
Being a music fan in 1975 was pure hell and records like E.C. Was Here just made things seem that much hotter. The was no real reason for this album's existence (other than to have added some ready cash to Clapton's cocaine surplus fund.) The album is the height of mid 70's rockstar arrogance. It's listless performance that showed the Clapton had virtually nothing to say or play.
My friend brought this over my house to listen to when it first came out and I remember almost slipping into a coma after it was over. It was about 40 minutes long but it felt like it took 8 hours to get through. This album proved once and for all that Clapton just couldn't carry it as a solo act. The record is so boring it can bring you to tears. Same blues, different year. YAWN!
